Frequently Asked Questions!

How do I know when a new book is released?

I try hard to keep the website up-to-date with the latest release. I send out information about releases through Instagram and Facebook also. I have a great group of bloggers that support new releases and I try to get a teaser to Goodreads as soon as possible.

Are reviews important?

They most definitely are. The more reviews, the more readers are exposed to a book. I never expect five stars from every review. Not everyone gets the same thing from a book nor does every book appeal to every reader. I still welcome your review and I do read them. Even one sentence helps.

How do I sign up for the newsletter?

You can fill out the form on the contact page found in the tab at the top of the page (or at the bottom of the home page). I'm new to writing an author newsletter, but I'm excited to get started!

What do I do if I find a typo or mistake?

Forgive me? I have an amazing editor and I will have read every book at least twenty times hunting for those pesky buggers, but I'm human. I will always strive to give you the best reading experience I can. If you do find the word "and" too many times, unnecessary apostrophes and random commas, it's totally on me (I love to overuse them all). I also spend an insane amount of time researching for each book. However, I do occasionally have to bend the truth to fit my story. Remember it's called fiction for a reason!

What authors inspire you?

I'm a classical literature nerd from way back. I grew up reading John Steinbeck, Robert Louis Stevenson, Ray Bradbury and Oscar Wilde, just to name a few. My 11th & 12th grade English teacher had a bookshelf in the back of her room filled with classics. I started at the top and read all the way to the bottom. That being said, I will read any genre. If it's a good book, I don't care what classification it is. Friend me on Goodreads and you'll find a booklist that is all over the place.

What do you love about writing romance?

Besides the gorgeous men who can't seem to find their shirts, ever? In reality, I love when two people can fight past their baggage to fall madly in love. I love that the guy always gets the girl in the end and loves her fiercely. I love creating people we all want to know and worlds we all want to live in.

How do you come up with the names in your books?

Quite a few of the names are old family names. Some of them are created by family members. A lot of them I get from my daughter's boyfriend. He's wickedly good at that. If the name is the model of a car, that would be my son.

What is one crazy thing about you I should know?

So from right out of left field, I have a strong fear that I will someday die from choking to death on a lemon seed in the bottom of my iced tea glass. I can spot one of tiny devils from across the room and fish it out with surgeon-like precision using a fork. My family will actually check my glass when the waiter sets it down for me. You can laugh, but it won't be funny when you read about it in the paper some day! Oh, and apparently I've started my own cult of friends that now check their glasses for lemon seeds.

How can I contact you?

Any way you would like! I post the most on Instagram, but you can like me on Facebook, follow me on Goodreads and Bookbub or shoot me an email (asamsonbooks@gmail.com)!
